Coxinha: Basically a ball of minced chicken that has been battered and fried. A typical treat commonly found in bakeries and snack bars in Brazil. A variation of the coxinha is the coxinha com catupiry (coxinha with catupiry), which includes catupiry cheese, a special kind of Brazilian cream cheese, very popular all over Brazil and used in many Brazilian dishes.
Empadinha: A small salty flat cake usually filled with frango (chicken), palmito (hearts of palm) or camarão (shrimp). A typical Brazilian treat commonly found in bakeries and snack bars.
