IV – DIALOGUE SCRIPT – RADICAL SPORTS
Ben: I hear you´re a big fan of radical sports.
Diller: Oh, yeah. The more radical the better. I´m actually going hang-gliding on Friday. Do you wanna come along?
Ben: Hang-gliding? Uh, I don´t think so. To be honest with you I´d much rather keep both my feet on the ground.
Diller: Hey, there´s really no need to be afraid. Most radical sports are quite safe. Of course you have to be careful and take certain precautions. You need to get ready for it, so training is crucial. The more prepared the better of course. Have you ever gone snowboarding?
Ben: Not really. I bet you have, right?
Diller: Yeah, my younger brother lives in Ottawa, so we often go snowboarding together whenever I pay him a visit.
Ben: Cool! What about bungee jumping? Have you ever done that?
Diller: A couple of times. I wish I could do it again soon.
Ben: Really? I´ve also heard that some amusement parks have radical roller coasters, I´m sure you´ve been to some of those.
Diller: Oh yeah, I love radical roller coasters. Don´t tell me you´ve never been to an amusement park before?
Ben: I have, but I´ve always stayed away from any ride that seems to be too extreme, you know. I feel a little dizzy when I ride a regular roller coaster, so I´ve never tried any of the radical ones.
Diller: I know what you mean. Many people are like that. As for myself, I´m just the opposite. I´m actually gearing up now for something new.
Ben: Really? What is it this time around?
Diller: Parachuting! There´s one downside to parachuting though, it´s pretty expensive. Each jump costs around $ 250, so I´m trying to save some money so I can go skydiving sometime soon.
Ben: Gee, Diller!, seems like you have no limits when it comes to radical sports!
