  1. NONCHALANT (adj.): showing indifference; casually calm and relaxed
    Ex.: “When I told Nina she had won the contest she was very nonchalant about it.”, Roy told Alexander.
  2. ENTICING (adj.): attractive; tempting
    Ex.:“The rave reviews of the movie are very enticing. I feel like watching this movie already.”, Joe told Mariah.
  3. UPSIDE (n.): the positive aspect of a situation
    Ex.: “You´ve told me about all the downsides of moving the plant to the countryside. Are there any upsides at all?”, Damon asked at the meeting.
  4. AFTERMATH (n): the period that follows a disaster or a war; the consequences of an unpleasant event
    Ex.:Many rescue groups and volunteers helped in the aftermath of the earthquake.
  5. REKINDLE/D/D (v.): to revive; to arouse again
    Ex.:Having been married for over twenty years, Brian wished he could find a way to rekindle the romance in his relationship.
  6. AD-LIB/BED/BED (v.): to speak without preparation; to improvise
    Ex.:“I don´t usually prepare a detailed script when I have to make a presentation, I prefer to just ad-lib.”, said Frank to a friend.
  7. GIMMICK (n.): something designed to attract people´s attention or to sell something; trick
    Ex.: “That´s a clever advertising gimmick and it´s sure to boost sales of their products. Do you know who thought it up?”, Mr. Clark asked at the meeting.
  8. FULL-FLEDGED (adj.): fully developed or trained; experienced; qualified
    Ex.: Now that Bart has completed his medical residency he´s technically a full-fledged doctor.
  9. UNVEIL/ED/ED (v.): to reveal or make something known for the first time; announce publicly for the first time
    Ex.:The company is expected to unveil its new gadget at the upcoming tech show in Houston.
  10. HIDEOUS (adj.): very ugly or frightening; horrible
    Ex.:Jason has gotten used to hideous crimes as he´s been a criminal investigator for about fifteen years now.
